Assessing and Managing the ”Frail" Patient with Prostate Cancer

SELF STUDY / ENDURING - ESTIMATED TIME TO COMPLETE ACTIVITY: 50 Minutes

Overview

The management of frail patients with metastatic prostate cancer is increasingly critical as the population ages and the prevalence of this condition rises. This educational session focuses on the unique challenges these patients face, including the multidimensional aspects of frailty that impact treatment outcomes. Participants will explore the diagnosis and mechanisms of frailty, the implications of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) on physical health, and the necessity of adapting treatment plans for these vulnerable patients.

Target Audience

This CME initiative was designed for oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with cancer.
