Overview

This activity reviews the evolving role of breast surgery within modern, multidisciplinary breast cancer care. Participants will examine breast cancer risk assessment and genetic testing considerations; surgical approaches including lumpectomy, mastectomy, reconstruction, and axillary staging; perioperative expectations and potential complications; and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in screening, diagnosis, risk prediction, treatment planning, and follow-up.

He received his undergrad from The University of California, Berkeley, and earned his MD from The University of Illinois. He is board-certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in breast surgery from UPMC Magee Women's Hospital Pittsburg.
